The
Mattatuck Drum Band is the oldest, continually active musical organization
in the United States. To this day, it's thunderous beat can be heard echoing
from the hilltops and down through the valleys. With this CD,
you can hear The Mattatuck Drum Band's long and colorful history as it
has reverberated down through the centuries. With 53 separate tracks
narrated by Connecticut's Governor John G. Rowland, the sweet fifes
and thundering drums traverse a musical history from 1767 to 1879.
